Duskbloods Closed Testing: Apply Now to Get a Glimpse at the Game!

FromSoftware fans, this is not a drill. The Duskbloods, the exclusive Nintendo Switch 2 title directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki himself, is opening up a Closed Network Test — and registration kicks off on July 22. If you've been hungry for anything new from the studio that brought us Elden Ring and Dark Souls, now's your chance to get your hands on it before anyone else.

Head over to FromSoftware's official Network Test website at https://campaign.theduskbloods.jp to sign up once registration goes live. The window to apply runs from July 22 through July 28, 2026, and the actual test takes place August 21 through August 24. You will need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to participate, so make sure that's squared away before you apply. I imagine spots are going to fill up fast — this is FromSoftware we're talking about — so don't sleep on it.

For those not tracking, The Duskbloods is a multiplayer-focused action game blending PvP and PvE combat. Matches support up to eight players and revolve around objective-based encounters with a dynamic "First Blood" mechanic, all set in a gothic, mythic world. Miyazaki directing a multiplayer-centric title is genuinely new territory, and I'm curious to see how FromSoftware's legendary combat design translates into a competitive setting. The Switch 2 exclusivity is bold, too — Nintendo clearly threw some serious weight behind this partnership.

An exact release date for the full game hasn't been announced yet beyond the late 2026 window, so this network test might be our best look at what The Duskbloods actually is for a while.
