The multiplayer support here is excellent, whether you're doing couch co-op or hopping online. It just works. No fuss, no lag issues, just you and your crew smashing Foot Clan soldiers into next week. The character roster hits all the right notes too — all the memorable faces are here, the classic villains show up in force, and each character feels distinct enough to make your pick matter.
Now let me tell you about the moments that had us dying laughing. I was playing Splinter and spamming his taunt ability to charge up my special move — which triggers this completely misplaced "oooooomm" meditation sound byte — right in the middle of a chaotic ten-plus enemy brawl while my brother is frantically trying to fend off the horde. The juxtaposition of serene meditation chanting amid absolute carnage is comedy gold. And then there's Michelangelo's run animation. This dude sprints across the screen flailing his arms around like one of those wacky wavy inflatable tube men outside a used car lot. Every single time he ran by, we lost it.
The moves are awesome, the button mashing feels satisfying, and the side content like collecting VHS tapes doesn't overstay its welcome. Difficulty options are reasonable too — even the easiest setting still offered a genuine challenge while letting us mash our way through without getting frustrated.
This is a fantastic quick multiplayer game whether you're playing with a friend, a sibling, your kid, or even solo or online with randoms. Very little commitment required, maximum fun delivered. Cowabunga, dudes.
