Bedrock Edition catches a lot of flak from the Java purists, and yeah, some of that is deserved. The marketplace is a cash-grab cesspool, the bugs can be infuriating, and redstone behaves like it was programmed by someone who hates engineers. But here's the thing — it works. Cross-platform play means you can drag your buddies into your insanity regardless of what they're playing on. And when the game is running smooth, it runs.
At its core, Minecraft is still one of the greatest games ever made. It doesn't need a story. It doesn't need cutscenes or voice acting or some overwrought emotional journey. It gives you blocks, tools, and a world, then gets the hell out of your way. Your creativity is the content. And apparently, my creativity leads to copper golem forced labor and municipal infrastructure projects at unholy hours of the night.
If you somehow still haven't played Minecraft, I don't know what to tell you. Go buy it. If you have played it and walked away, you'll be back. You always come back.
